E3 2009: EA Confirms "Small Team" Working on Mirror's Edge 2

In the recent past, Electronic Arts has committed itself to focusing more on creating new brands and properties, rather than relying on licensed fare, and one such result of this initiative was Mirror's Edge, a parkour-inspired first-person action game starring the young runner Faith.
However, while praised for its innovation, critics nonetheless slammed the game for its "short length and poor storyline," and sales didn't seem to be all that they were cracked up to be. And while this might deter some other companies, EA remains committed.
According to EA Games Europe Senior Vice President Patrick Soderlund, "Mirror's Edge was a risky move. It was a bold move, a very innovative and inspiring move. The game wasn't perfect by any means. We would have liked the game to sell better even though the game has sold better than most people think." He adds "You will see another Mirror's Edge for sure. It's just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I'm excited about what we do."
No other details were available, except to say that DICE seems to be working on the title.
