From what I've seen thus far, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is really shaping up to surpass its predecessor. The latest bit of content that has me shaking with anticipation is a new cinematic from the game. In it, our beloved Nathan Drake is presented with the fact that he holds a special dagger. This dagger is the key to accessing Shambhala, which is, according to Buddhist tradition, a mythical, hidden kingdom located somewhere in Tibet. Inside Shambhala is a power-granting stone that, of course, is the one desire of the stories' main villain. Nathan is apprehensive about jumping back into the role of the hero, but I'm sure the cast of supporting characters will have no problem coercing him into an adventure. Check out the cinematic below.
In addition to a new cinematic, Naughty Dog has released a few tidbits of information about the multiplayer side of the game. For one, there will be a cinema mode. Your most recent multiplayer matches will get saved, giving you the option to go back, watch them, and, if you feel so inclined, upload them to the Naughty Dog site, where they will be available for downloading purposes. Naughty Dog has also stated that they will have the ability to change aspects of the multiplayer gameplay without patches. For example, you may enter a game one day only to find out that all of the gun locations in a particular level have been changed. Talk about adding replay value. Can't wait for this one.
The PlayStation 3 exclusive will be coming to stores in November of this year.
