BioWare is apparently satisfied with PS3 development, as they have expressed intentions to continue in-house PS3 development in the future. They have denied any effect this may have on the Mass Effect franchise.
BioWare, unlike many traditionally PC developers, seems to have become comfortable with PS3 development with that version of Dragon Age Origins. "It was great going through the experience of making Dragon Age, getting familiar with and understanding the PS3," said BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk to Joystiq in an interview, acknowledging the differences in the platform. "Again, every platform is different, but now I think we're at the position where future PS3 stuff will be really solid."
The logical thing to ask about after this was the possibility of Mass Effect games appearing on the PS3. BioWare continues to neither confirm nor deny.
"We're not saying anything about Mass Effect for PS3. I don't know anything about that! That's crazy talk. I don't know anything about that," Zeschuk said. "I can definitely say Dragon Age and other things we do will definitely be on PS3."
Mass Effect 2 so far has only been announced for the Xbox 360 and PC for a release at the end of January 2010.
