And that's after the required download.

CVG Reports that Devil May Cry 4's installation process on the PS3 takes 22 minutes and does not make much of a difference in loading times when compared to the Xbox 360.
"We clocked the entire install process at 21 minutes, 41 seconds," CVG says. "Following that the opening load time on PS3 was five seconds against eight on 360." The required 5GB installation prevents any testing of how the game runs before behind installed.
Even so, a previous story points out that the PS3 version is getting 5.1 LPCM audio and PSN support. How the PSN support will work is unknown as previous interviews with the game's developer have revealed that there will be no DLC for the game so these feature might be omitted as well.
Expect Kombo's review to be released this week.

Editor's Take: I would call the PS3 out on this one but I would not be surprised if this was caused by difficulty with developing the PS3 version of the game.
Instead of trying to utilize the power of the PS3 and in the end screwing it up (causing many of the slow/down and graphical errors some games are reported as having), Capcom has taken the route of putting a lot of the game's info on the harddrive.
So now the game runs slightly better than the 360 version with no need to delay the game due to problems with developing the game at the same pace with the 360. PS3 owners have to suffer through a required download but otherwise get a better game.
