Complete PS3 Trophy Support Appears Doubtful
July 3, 2008 | 10:02 AM PST
Though many developers are supportive of Sony's new Trophy system, it seems that a growing number are unwilling to create patches for already-existing games, thus affecting Sony's claim that all existing software would utilize the feature.
Infinity Ward has already stated that they would not be creating a patch in order to allow Trophies to be attainable in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, while wishing the option had been there at launch.
2K Games has also added that Trophy support would not be added to Civilzation Revolutions, and IGN has reported that Insomniac will not be adding retroactive support for Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction or Resistance: Fall of Man, even though the latter's sequel is planned to include Trophies.
Does this affect you in any way? Would you like to see more games that have already been released include Trophies to add to your collection? Or are you simply looking to the future and going from there? Tell us in the comments.
