In a news letter released earlier today, Namco Bandai announced the release date for the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata. Before I go any further I would just like to remind you what games are coming out on October 21, 2008. Bioshock (PS3), Fable 2, LittleBigPlanet, Far Cry 2, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, and Star Ocean: First Departure. That's a ton of great games coming out on one day. Well, add another one! The PlayStation 3 version of Eternal Sonata will also be hitting stores on October 21. Seriously.

Yes, instead of sneaking in between major release days, Namco Bandai has decided to release Eternal Sonata on what may be the biggest new release day of the year. I'm guessing someone didn't get the memo or they're expecting pretty huge things for this game. Either way, the game is pretty great and should make a great addition to any PlayStation 3 collection.
