Like many of the game media junkets, companies have been beginning to receive their advance copies of Street Fighter IV for review. Two Future publications, Official Xbox Magazine and Official PlayStation Magazine got their copy even earlier, in order to account for the lead time that the print media needs.
As of yesterday evening, it seems that Capcom was so excited about their scores that they decided to share them with all of us. So how do you think they did?
"Here's what Official Xbox Magazine has to say about Street Fighter IV:After the closing of EGM, it is good to see that the print media is still getting precedence by some publishers. I just hope that the fact that these were exclusive first reviews didn't sway the scores in the favor of the Street Fighter IV camp. But lets face it, a Street Fighter game is expected to be awesome anyway!
"Does the impossible: Preserves the past while embracing the future."
"Just about everything else about the game, however, shouldn't just make Capcom proud, it should make every fighting gamer proud."
"Online play is really where SFIV will shine the brightest."
And the review ends with a bright and shiny 9.5 out of 10!
How about all you diehard PS3 kids? PlayStation the Official Magazine sez:
"Street Fighter IV is easily one of this console generation's best fighting games."
"...a proud addition to the Street Fighter legacy that fighting fans will love."
"SFIV kicks ass and takes names."
W00t! PTOM bestows an amazing 5 out of 5 for the game!" -- Capcom-unity Blog
