If hanging out online creaming friends in matches of Guitar Hero weren't enough, now Activision has announced Guitar Hero's very own virtual space in PlayStation Home.

Backstage with Guitar Hero will give gamers across the globe the opportunity to hang out with fellow Guitar Hero rockers in a backstage lounge and concert venue all via PSN's Home service. The lounge will also feature videos for upcoming Guitar Hero titles, as well as a number of other features to be implemented over time. This could mean some interesting directions for the franchise, as Home provides a well of options that are as yet untapped. Some exciting things could be in store!

So, got a few friends who just happen to enjoy Guitar Hero as much as you do? Hop on PSN and check out Backstage with Guitar Hero. But please, refrain on sharing your best "Through the Fire and Flames" times - that song is rather played out.
