Resident Evil Comic Writer Reveals New Characters, Ditches the Old

While previously touted as a prequel to Resident Evil 5 and claiming to show "what led Chris Redfield to Africa," and to reveal the "dark burden" which haunts him, it seems now that the new Resident Evil comic book from Wildstorm is going to take a different approach.
While still dealing with the adventures of the BSAA, don't expect to see any of the Resident Evil crew you've grown to know and love. Instead, the new characters "will encounter a variety of T-Virus and G-Virus infected monsters, some with new twists, that are part of the Resident Evil universe."
Yeah... I'm not sure how well that's going to go over with fans. Sure, it works for Star Wars, but will it attract a new breed of Resident Evil fan?
You can find out more for yourself by reading the full interview writer Ricardo Sanchez, who discusses the characters, timeline placement, favorite series moments, and even provides some preview pages. It's all right here at the Capcom*Unity.
