Capcom Preparing Between 20 to 40 PSP and PS1 Titles for PSN

About a week ago, we brought you a rumor from 1UP which stated that, among other things, the "PSP Go!" would have around 100 new and classic titles to download to its UMD-free innards when the system launches.
Now, while there has been no word yet about any truth to the existence of the handheld, it seems that at least the number of games available for download may yet come true, as Capcom's Chris Kramer revealed that the company is going to release a lot of titles to the service throughout the year.
"We'll definitely be looking at a lot of titles that have things like Street Fighter and Resident Evil in the title," Kramer told Joystiq. "We're thinking about putting together a long list of the titles we're looking at, and then releasing it on Capcom Unity and having people vote on them. Ultimately we're looking at bringing between 20 and 40 titles to the PSN over the next several months."
According to Joystiq, however, one should not get their hopes up for titles such as say, Marvel vs. Capcom. However, as noted by The Mega Man Network, such a large number makes it appear rather likely that at least one Mega Man title will be among those added to Capcom's storefront. Hopes are for MegaMan Legends on the PlayStation One side of things, while the PlayStation Portable would be well-served by the likes of Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X, two great titles which were seemingly thrown under the proverbial bus.
As for when we can expect to begin seeing these titles, a recent post (in a relative sense, anyway) from Corporate Officer Christian Svensson on the Capcom*Unity forums says that the first won't go up until later this month, as "that's the fastest the behind the scenes work at Sony can get done."
But what will the first be? Capcom isn't saying... yet.
